The cruiser Moscow, hit by Ukraine, sank
The cruiser Moscow, with a crew of 510, besieging Snake Island and reportedly hit by Ukraine, sank. In a statement made by Russia, it was said, "The Moscow cruiser lost its balance due to the damage to its hull as a result of the explosion of the ammunition during its withdrawal to the destination port. The ship sank in stormy sea conditions."
It was announced that the Russian cruise ship Moscow, which Ukraine claimed to have hit with a Neptune missile, sank. In the statement made by the Russian Ministry of Defense, it was stated that the Moscow cruiser, which was reported to have experienced an ammunition explosion, sank while towing to its destination port:
* During the withdrawal of the Moscow cruiser to the port of destination, the ship lost its balance due to the damage to the hull as a result of the explosion of the ammunition. The ship sank in stormy sea conditions. As previously reported, the crew of the cruiser was evacuated to the ships of the Black Sea fleet in the area.
